The Social Medium is a pop-up installation in which members of the public will be encouraged to curate content, using popular elements of social media ‘displaced’ into real life. Our graffiti wall inside the space will serve as an alternative to status updates and tweets, allowing participants to share their thoughts – good or/and bad. There will also be a sound installation featuring the audio recordings of tweets and our instant photo gallery will allow participants one shot at taking the perfect photo using a classic Polaroid camera . No retakes and no filters!
The Anti Gallery, also know as TAG is a pop-up art gallery inspired by and celebrating urban culture, creating, engaging & exhibiting within alternative art gallery environments.
TAG curates and produces exhibitions, hosts film screenings, facilitate workshops and participate in conversations about art and activism.
The organisation was founded in 2016 and run by Saziso Phiri, an independent creative producer and curator specialising in street art.
