After a year of isolation and disconnection, Frequency 2021 offered an opportunity to explore outdoor public spaces once more, to be surprised and delighted and to reconnect safely with the city and each other. The biennial festival offered online and real-world encounters as it celebrated 10 years of bringing inventive digital culture into Lincoln’s historic city.
Frequency Festival is produced by Threshold Studios, in partnership with the University of Lincoln and supported using public funding by Arts Council England. The event is a city wide collaboration between public sector organisations and support from the business community, including City of Lincoln Council, Visit Lincoln, Lincoln BIG and Lincolnshire Coop.
This year’s programme has also been supported by Historic England, High Streets Heritage Action Zones, and national and international partners through Digital Democracies.
