A Gentle Giant Comes to Lincoln

31 October, 2021

Air Giants’ Luma is coming to Lincoln Cornhill on Sunday 31st October for Frequency Festival 2021.

The gentle giant is almost entirely made from fabric and this allows her movement to reflect the flexible and contorting motion found within the animal kingdom. A joyful and hopeful work championing both nature and technology, and reimagining what robots can be for.

Air Giants is a new creative robotic studio founded in 2020. They are a small team of artists, roboticists, puppeteers and software engineers based in Bristol, UK. The Air Giants team applies soft robotic design principles at a super-scale, and their innovations in air control and sensing systems bring their creations to life.
