DJ and Beatboxing Workshops - Noise Academy
21st February - 12:00pm - 4:00pm
Location - Cornhill Market (Mezzanine Floor) - What Three Words: ///foam.expect.stem
These open DJ and beatbox workshops by Noise Academy will turn Cornhill Market into a high-energy hub of live music-making. Designed to be interactive and accessible, the sessions invite young people and families to jump in, get hands-on and experience the thrill of creating sound in a public space.
Participants can try professional DJ equipment, learning the basics of mixing, tempo, effects and how DJs build atmosphere. Beatboxing workshops run alongside this, exploring rhythm, breath control and vocal percussion, showing how full beats can be created using just the voice. DJs and beatboxers perform together, creating an immediate sense of collaboration and live performance.
No prior experience is needed. The open, street-level format draws in passers-by, builds crowds and turns everyday shoppers into active participants, blending music education with live performance in the heart of the city.
