A dynamic collaboration by artists Graham Elstone and Thomas Hall, “Ode to”is an interactive installation that celebrates “buskers”, capturing the essence of ‘Xylophone Man’ who graced Nottingham’s streets for over fifteen years.
Immerse yourself in this joyful celebration of the music-makers who fill our world with melody and magic.

About the artist(s)
Graham Elstone works as an artist, creative educator and technical/project manager. Artwork, involving digital arts, installation, performance and mixed media, has been shown in galleries, theatres and within Festivals, much of the work is for public spaces including shop fronts, disused buildings, artwork on the street, and often utilises interactivity to allow audience a new perspective to the artwork. As a project and production manager Graham undertakes large outdoor work for festivals and arts venues, collaborates in touring projects with other artists and manages arts and creative projects for other organisations. Education work spans schools, FE and non-formal education settings including SEN schools and work in care homes with older generations.
For the creation of ‘Ode to…’ Graham has collaborated with long-time co-creator Thomas Hall. Previously going under the name Low Brow Trash, Graham and Thomas have exhibited a number of creative works across the UK. Thomas Hall is an artist whose work utilises technology in a playful and eclectic way. From model dioramas and interactive sonic pieces to screen based or projection works, his art often requires active participation from the viewer. His work, both public and commercial commissions, has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
