Resonant Pulse - Lucy Mager
19th, 20th & 21st February - 5:30pm - 9:30pm
Location - The Lawn - What Three Words: ///behind.prompting.lift
Resonant Pulse is a multi-channel sonic installation that brings to life the sounds of Cleethorpes beach to create an interactive and meditative experience. Sound speakers will be arranged in a circle, facing inward, inviting the audience to stand or move within. Sounds and frequencies will interact within this circle for a full-body audio experience.
This commission was made possible through funding from Arts Council England’s Place Partnership Fund and Create North East Lincolnshire as part of the “Exploring Digital” programme.
About the artist(s)
Lucy’s practice transforms chaos into order through experimental exploration. She utilises digital video installations in combination with sonic and immersive elements to create corporeal experiences. Drawing on Jungian concepts of archetypes and the collective unconscious, she recontextualises sound and image to develop new modes of experience.
Lucy also supports other artists through Lucy’s Art Club, an inclusive and neuroaccessible art group. In addition, she serves as a Director of The Other Collective CIC, which provides opportunities and support for disadvantaged and marginalised artists and creatives.
