Talking Heads - Impossible Arts

Location - Cornhill - What Three Words - ///shower.await.sends
Talking Heads turns passers by into performers. Three large sculptural heads tower above the audience, talking, singing and surprising onlookers as dusk begins to fall. Cameras capture faces in real time, allowing one of the heads to take on the likeness of whoever steps up to the microphone. Participants speak, recite or sing, and their expressions come to life on the sculptural form.
People may find themselves reciting famous historical lines or singing classics such as “Doe, a deer, a female deer” from The Sound of Music. Curiosity quickly turns into playful participation as more people join in, creating a chain reaction of delight and laughter.
Talking Heads works beautifully in outdoor public settings and evening environments. It invites audiences of all ages to experiment, perform and share a collective moment of humour and discovery.
