On Cornhill today 5 local artists are exhibiting their work for one day only as part of Frequency Festival. Here’s a little more information about each artist, come along to look at the varied work on display.
Adele Billinghay – Glass Artist
Adele’s work is all made from recycled glass and old windows. Adele makes and designs all her own work through using photographs she has taken or hand painting patterns. All her pieces are unique and one of a kind. She has recently exhibited her work at the Usher Gallery and will soon be exhibiting at Doddington Hall and NCCD in Sleaford. Jeanine Marteau – Photographer and Jewelry Maker
Jeanine is a freelance photographer and make jewelry as a hobby, or as she describes it ” a therapeutic past time”. Her work mainly consists of beaded characters (pacman for example) and patterns. She sells her work on Etsy (an online store) and you can find her online.
Graham Cooling – T-shirt Designer and Printer
Graham illustrates all his t-shirts himself and every image has a backstory. For example one t-shirt is inspired by a quote from Salvador Dali “Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.” Having a stimulus puts Graham’s skills to use through the designing process. Visit his website.
Kate Francis – Illustrator
Kate studied illustration at Derby University but is from Lincoln originally. She started her own business from her sttdio in Lincoln, where she receives photographs of customers homes which she then draws. Visit her website.
