Family Itinerary Idea for our Digital Playground

Family day at Frequency Festival promises a day filled with fun, creativity, and memorable experiences for parents and children alike. We’ve put together a fantastic itinerary to help you navigate the Saturday of the festival. From morning until night, you’ll discover exciting activities, interactive installations, and engaging performances that your family will love. Let’s dive in!

 

Morning: Campus Zone, University of Lincoln’s Brayford Campus

Kick your day off at 10 am at the Campus Zone based at the Lincoln Arts Centre.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

PlayLAB (Workshop: 10am – 12pm & Exhibition: 1 – 4pm)

Get hands on at PlayLAB’s interactive workshop Let your little ones unleash their creativity as they explore the fascinating world of digital art and technology. Who knows, you might have a future tech genius in the making!

Digi Diddy Disco (10.30 – 11.45am)

Get your dancing shoes on and bring your toddlers to Diddy Disco, get those faces painted and prepare to have lots of Halloween-themed fun!

Curious adventures in colour and light (12 – 4pm)

Next up, children can experiment with light and colour, creating their own vibrant masterpieces. It’s a great way to get them moving and inspired.

Ode To… (11 – 3pm)

Wrap up your morning with a musical note . Let your kids strike a chord and make some melodies with this joyful celebration of music makers.

Lunch: Fuel Up

Grab a quick, delicious lunch from one of our many local cafes or restaurants as you make your way to the next adventure.

 

Afternoon: Discovery Zone

 

Volo: Dreams of Flight (11am – 9pm)

In the afternoon, it’s time for some VR magic with Studio GoGo’s VR Swings. Strap in and get ready for an exhilarating ride through virtual worlds. The kids will be talking about this one for ages!

Lindsey the robot (11am – 4pm)

Continue your futuristic journey at Lincoln Museum. Let Lindsey the robot take you on a very special guided tour and learn about the incredible possibilities of AI. It’s both educational and loads of fun!

The Thing (11 – 5.30pm)

Venture into the world of imagination with ‘Skulls & Robots: The Thing.’ This interactive exhibit is perfect for inquisitive minds. Watch as your children uncover mysteries and unravel the story behind ‘The Thing.’

Touch and Glow (11 – 9pm)

Light up your afternoon with Touch and Glow. Let your kids explore the enchanting world of light and sensory play. It’s a hands-on experience that’ll ignite their imagination.

Take a break and sample Lincoln’s culinary delights.

 

Evening: Twilight Zone

 

Inflatable Monsters (Constant)

Keep your eyes peeled for inflatable monsters lighting up across the city in the Twilight Zone. Let the giant monsters lead you on a spooktacular tour of the city.

Polaris (5.15 – 9.30 pm)

As the evening approaches, make sure you are heading up Steep Hill towards Lincoln Cathedral to see  Seb Lee-Delisle Polaris. A mesmerising light show that will leave your family in awe. It’s a perfect way to complete your day and enjoy some stunning visuals.

Fabuloso Organ (5 – 9pm)

Let the kids be amazed by the Fabuloso Organ, an impressive musical spectacle. The combination of music and visual effects will create lasting memories for your little ones.

Revontulet (5 – 9pm)

Discover a fascinating film; a sparkling sky and imagery imitating the swoosh of a fantasy fox tail, whose trails are captured on camera.

Digital Graffiti (5 – 9.30pm)

Join in on the creativity with Digital Graffiti. Your kids can become virtual artists for the evening, painting the town in digital colours.
